Stephen Hawking and God

Stephen Hawking has allegedly put debate about the “God myth” to rest.  In Hawking’s new book, The Grand Design, co-authored with Caltech physicist Leonard Mlodinow, he challenges belief in the divine creation of the universe.  According to the book, the laws of physics, not the will of God, provide the real explanation as to how life on earth came into being. The Big Bang, it is argued, was the inevitable consequence of these laws: ‘because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing.’  Well shut my mouth!  Has my adoration of the loving God who sent His son to die on the cruel cross of Calvary to atone for my wayward nature been for naught?  Is God simply my psychological projection of a needy me?  I think not.  The following is a link to an article by professor John Lennox that appeared in the Daily Mail.  I believe that this article will relieve your anxiety and demonstrate that you’re not simply the product of a quirk of gravity.  RMF
