Too Hot To Handle

[I am continuing in concerned disbelief over the account of the Abortion-related murders that occurred in Philadelphia and that were reported, however briefly, by the media this last week.  I am amazed and terribly saddened.  If there has ever been a less reported honest-to-goodness major scandal than this I don’t know what it is. “Horror,” “Mass murder,” as stated in the caption of a news commentary by Michelle Malkin (see below for link)

is exactly right — but we’ve all seen more media coverage of a few dead birds on a highway in Arkansas than on this story which should rock our national conscience. Could it be that it is just too hot to handle because it is so horrific that concentrated reportage could shock our country into a state of shame. And, of course, that is what should happen. Aside from the tragedy of the murdered babies and butchered women is the monumental cover-up and lack of concern on the part of numerous Philadelphia officials who knew of the situation and yet failed to act.  They too must now share the shame and guilt of Dr. Gosnell and his team of terrorist “health care providers.” Why are we not seeing a country-wide and media-wide cry of outrage and righteous indignation? Too hot to handle. That is the reason. If the story received the attention it deserves our citizens, elected officials, and the judicial system might be confronted with the brutality and insane nature of abortion for convenience. Abortion is legal one moment in time and the next moment and a foot away from the mother and we have murder. How unjust — how insane. We have allowed what is ethically abhorrent to become acceptable. One moment it is “morally” ok and the next it is a crime. We as a nation should fall to our knees and beg forgiveness for what we have allowed to become our shame and disgrace. May the God of creation have mercy on us — more mercy than has been shown to all the victims in this “Philadelphia Horror.” And, the lack of attention given to a tragedy of this magnitude clearly brings the media into the ring of culpability. I respect Michelle Malkin and the Washington Examiner for their courage in detailing this horror.  Seriously, let us pray that God’s mercy and justice will quickly bring an end to a national policy and legal apparatus that tolerates the wanton destruction of those created in His image.  RMF]
