Listen

Yogi Berra once said, “You can hear a lot just by listening.” Or maybe it was “You can observe a lot just by watching.” Or perhaps “You can see a lot by just listening.”  Whatever — these aphorism’s convey much truth.  And truth be told, we don’t typically do very well at listening — really listening with the ears, mind and heart.  It is not a new  problem.  Jesus said: “For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them. (Matthew 13:15, English Standard Version)

The following is an article by Chris Castaldo which discusses how Christian, be being better listeners, can engage others in a Gospel conversation which will be of such import to them that they will listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to them.  Following is the link to the article which originally appeared in The Gospel Coalition blog.  RMF
